Philadelphia Residence Completed

Interior - Stair

Interior - Stair

See the March 1,2009 Philadelphia Inquirer for an article on this home!
All that was left of this delapidated center city home was the historic facade. The structure was the original home of the Philadelphia Police Horse stable (1800’s); and the front facade still had the original door openings and hardware.
The new structure was built with open-webbed trusses and the latest in engineered products to allow for seamless mechanical coordination without the usual dropped soffits while also giving the maximum interior space.
The home behind the facade is surpirisingly contemporary – with glass curtain walls, cantilevered steel and metal stairs, and an elevator serving the home and roof deck that overlooks center city, as well as a full house entertainment system.
The finishes are all just as inviting as the rest of the interior – cork flooring in the kitchen, 5″ Oak flooring in the living spaces, specialized stone backsplash in the sleek, modern kitchen and floor to ceiling stone in the custom two sided master shower.
The home also has two rear steel and composite (low maintenance) terraces and a ground level outdoor patio area.
